Committees

Agriculture Committee

Meetings are on Friday's February through October. The Ag Committee raises money for Okmulgee County 4H and FFA Students that show Swine, Sheep, Goats and Market & Prospect Steers in the Okmulgee County Fair. The Ag Committee also gives premium money to Okmulgee County students that make the Premium Sale in the Muskogee Regional Livestock Show.

Ambassadors Committee

Meetings are the 1st Friday of each month. The ambassadors participate in Ribbon Cuttings, Business of the Week, Legislative Forums, Quarterly Meetings and the Annual Banquet.

Community Development/Image

This committee has been very active the last few months. This community has been working on recycling efforts for the city. Members are planning and organizing for future recycling efforts for the city. Plans call for recycling of glass, plastic and aluminum.

Education Committee

The Education Committee is working on several projects. First of all, the committee is rotating members to attend the School Board meetings. The Education Committee is working on several projects including the Middle School Awards Program, and preparing for the Okmulgee High School Letter "O" Banquet.

Governmental Affairs Committee

This Committee sponsors the Legislative Forums that meet the 1st Friday of each month February through June. Also sponsors forums for any county or city elections.

The Membership Services Committee is now focusing on the Quarterly Membership Luncheon that will be held, Friday, April 24, 2009 at 11:30am in the Harlan and Citizens Rooms at OSU-IT.
