Public Works, headed by Mr. Rick Miller, has five main department divisions: Streets; Property Maintenance; Water and Sewer Maintenance; Sanitation; and Central Repair. Street Department:
The Street Department maintains streets, alleys, drainage, and traffic signs. Street repairs are addressed as quickly as possible. Drainage ditches are maintained throughout the year with priority given to emergency situations. During inclement weather, the department is responsible for keeping catch basins open and streets passable. For more information, contact Street Department Supervisor Phil Paden.

Property Maintenance
Property Maintenance services the City's parks. For detailed information about each park, for further information from a human, call and ask for the Property Maintenance Supervisor Ricky Pearson.

Water and Sewer Maintenance
Sewer Problems/Backups: Those experiencing sewer problems or backups should immediately contact the Public Works office during the weekday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. or (918) 756-3511 after hours and on weekends and holidays. Crews are on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Low water pressure: To report low water pressure, contact the Public Works office at (918) 756-4159 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and the Okmulgee Police Department (918) 756-3511 after hours.

Sanitation
Garbage Collection: The City of Okmulgee provides garbage collection service to all residents and businesses in the City. Contact the Sanitation Department at (918) 756-4159 for specific information on rates and the regulations governing this service.
