♦ 2011 Great West Chili Fest Winners ♦ The Great West Chili Fest & Car Show was held on October 15th, 2011 in downtown Okmulgee. All the great "Chili Chefs" came to downtown to prove their chili recipe was the best! Other contests included were the Table Decorating, Crazy Hat and Apron contests. A variety of vendors set up on the Creek Council House lawn to sell their products to the Chili Fest crowd. Cruisers and Rods hosted the well attended car show during the Chili Festivities. Pake McEntire , along with his sidekick Stephanie, performed during the event. This year, a Kid Zone was added and proved to be successful! The Chili Fest Committee, chaired by Wade Hall, is already working on making next year's event bigger and better!!!
