Portrait of Okmulgee is a community art project. Anne Spoon, artist, will be painting 100 portraits in a year's time in downtown Okmulgee. Her studio is located at 104 1/2 S. Morton. The art project began in September of 2011 and will end in October 2012. The only requirement to have your portrait painted is to have an Okmulgee address or be a current Main Street Member. Once the project is completed, the portraits will be displayed through various art exhibits in Oklahoma. Portraits will be on sale at the end of the project.
