Location

Overview

The airport is located about a quarter mile East of Highway 75 north out of Okmulgee, OK. Downtown Okmulgee is about 3 miles south of the airport. Just go South on 75 to 6th Street and turn East to see historic downtown Okmulgee. With events happening all year long, you never know what you may find in historic Okmulgee.

Downtown

Downtown Okmulgee contains many historic buildings of interest including the Creek Council House. Local businesses of all types are located around and near the "square," which house many local festivals during the year. The movie theatre plays 1st run movies and is housed in the beautiful historic Orpheum building. The area has several fine antique and gift stores that you really don't want to miss.

2000 Center

Located 5 miles south of the airport on highway 75, the 2000 Center has Wal-Mart Super Center and other businesses located in this shopping center.

OSU Institute of Technology

OSU Institute of Technology is a public, state-supported technical institution committed to increasing the potential and productivity of the people it serves. 

With thirty-three programs of study for Associate in Applied Science degrees, and four programs of study for Associate in Science transfer degree, this campus is known for its hands-on technical education, its world-class equipment and its unique partnership with industry.

Lakes & Parks

Nestled in the heart of Oklahoma's Green Country, Okmulgee has two fantastic lakes just a few miles from downtown. Okmulgee Lake was built in 1926 as a water project for the City of Okmulgee, and covers 650 acres. Read more on the Okmulgee State Park Wikipedia Page.
