On March 24th, 2020, the Okmulgee City Council met in a special meeting to discuss and enact an ordinance declaring a civil emergency and granting authority to close certain types of businesses for the duration of the emergency.
Those most specifically affected are businesses that offer public accommodation on premises for dining, or drinking. Such businesses must close areas of public accommodation on premises. This ordinance does not bar such restaurants from offering curb side, or drive thru options.
The full language and particulars of the ordinance can be read here.
